Steven Weisz of Art Imagined Photography Receives Two Honorable Mentions in the 2025 Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3)

The Hidden Gasp - Honorable Mention PX3
The Lanterns Embrace - Honorable Mention PX3

Steven Weisz, photographer and founder of Art Imagined Photography in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, has been recognized internationally with two Honorable Mentions in the prestigious 2025 Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3).

The Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3) is one of Europe’s leading photography competitions, dedicated to promoting the appreciation of photography, discovering emerging talent, and introducing artists from around the world to the Parisian and global arts community. Juried by esteemed editors, publishers, curators, gallery owners, consultants, creative directors, and art directors, PX3 celebrates the very best in contemporary photography.

Weisz’s two recognized works include:

  • The Hidden Gaspfeaturing Model: Michaela Delaney Guthrie
A striking black-and-white image depicting a figure with long black gloves covering their eyes, mouth open in a gesture of surprise or shock. With minimalist composition and bold contrast, the photograph explores themes of concealment, vulnerability, and perception, offering viewers a timeless and emotionally charged visual experience.
  • The Lantern’s Embracefeaturing Model: @i.am.rose___
Captured at Astra Illumina in Philadelphia under natural restrictions that prohibited flash, external lighting, or tripods, the image relies solely on ambient light. It portrays a young woman seated on a forest floor, illuminated by the glow of a lantern that casts intricate shadows across the leaves. Bursts of purple and gold light transform the surrounding darkness into a dreamlike scene, evoking solitude, resilience, and wonder.

“I am deeply honored to have my work recognized by PX3 among such a global community of talented photographers,” said Weisz. “Both pieces reflect my continued exploration of light, shadow, and emotion—and the ability of photography to tell stories that resonate universally.”

These recognitions add to Weisz’s growing international presence. His work has previously been exhibited in the United States and abroad, including Philadelphia City Hall Gallery, Art Deco Weekend in Miami Beach, the Scotia Bank CONTACT Festival in Toronto, and Expo Metro in Milan, Italy, Barcelona, Spain and in December 2025 in Hong Kong.
